Project 52: Week 1- Meet Patti

Week 1- Meet Patti

Hi Gals and Pals,

I hope you stopped by and seen the first post about my new creative journey! (warning long post- I want to jot down all my ideas so that others can see what I have done)

I am going to do an art journal layout each week, and the first laout I wanted to make a post kind of introducing who I am… If someone finds this journal in the future I want them to get to know me starting with what I like and what I dont like.

I started off by adding this cool tissue paper that had ombre foil polka dots. I glued it down with Multi Matte Medium, this proved difficult, because I found the liquid glue ended up warping the paper (making it curl) this will be a problem if it keeps happening… so I made note to look up other art journal artists and see how they fix this mistake.

I then added a lot of stickers, thickers (for the title), and Journal squares.
In each journaling block I journaled my Likes (smitten what I dont like (I don’t get) and what I am also known as. This was fun and I love how the smitten one has arrows pointing toward the digi smiling (almost like a reminder that I want to be more positive in life) and that the digi looks like she is stomping on the what I dont like.

I hope you can read the journaling… But if you cannot here is what it says!

Smitten (what I like): Red Pandas, ice cream, cuddles with Cobi, being a proud Hufflepuff, polka dots, smell of lilacs, being helpful, bright fun pattern paper and stamps, podcasts

dont get: (what I don’t like): intolerance, hate crimes, spite, disease, anxiety

Also Known as: Cobi’s owner, Auntie Patti, Patti-cakes, Fangirl, EchoFeather, Candihearts, The cardmaker.

Lastly I coloured the digital stamp (Puppy Gwen by Some Odd Girl Stamps) I wanted her to look like me, so I added glasses on her eyes and coloured her hair and clothes in something I would wear… I then wanted to turn this chihuahua puppy into Cobi (when he gets his hair cut he looks mostly like this, except the ears) I think she may be my favorite thing on the layout. I love how the more of this journal square is pointing at the digi me smiling (meaning remember to be more positive) and that she is stepping below her the things I dont like.

I hope you like this layout, and if you are a crafty person I will take any and all tips on how to do this, any help I will truely appreciate.

Lots of hugs,

Patti
